Description

The Diesel Oil Fluidity Improver is a specialized pour point depressant additive used to improve the low-temperature flow performance of diesel and fuel oil. It works by reducing the cold filter plugging point and pour point of the fuel, ensuring smoother flow in cold conditions and preventing issues like solidification, which can affect engine performance.

How it Works:

Diesel oil fluidity improvers, or PPDs (Pour Point Depressants), function by altering the structure of wax crystals in the diesel fuel. When diesel is exposed to low temperatures, wax crystals form and can obstruct fuel lines or filters, causing clogging. By modifying these wax crystals, the fluidity improver prevents large crystals from forming and ensures that the fuel remains flowable even in extremely cold conditions.

Benefits:

  1. Cold Weather Performance:
Diesel oil fluidity improvers are critical for ensuring reliable cold-weather performance, allowing diesel engines to start more easily in freezing or sub-zero temperatures.

  2. Prevents Filter Clogging:
By reducing the wax crystal formation, the fluidity improver helps prevent blockages in fuel filters and lines, which could otherwise hinder fuel flow and engine operation.

  3. Improved Flow at Low Temperatures:
The fluidity improver lowers the pour point of diesel fuel, ensuring the fuel flows freely at low temperatures and minimizing the risk of solidification or excessive viscosity.

  4. Enhanced Engine Reliability:
With improved flow properties, the fluidity improver helps maintain consistent engine performance in cold weather, ensuring that the fuel system does not experience fuel delivery problems during low-temperature starts.

Application Instructions:

  1. Dosage:
The typical dosage of Diesel Oil Fluidity Improver (PPD) is below 0.1%, with most refineries using 0.02% to 0.06% depending on the desired effect.

  2. Mixing Instructions:
Before use, it is recommended to dilute the Diesel Oil Fluidity Improver into a concentrate fluid. To do this:

    • Mix the improver with kerosene as the diluent at a 1:15 ratio.
    • Add the prepared concentrate fluid to the diesel fuel to ensure even distribution of the additive.
  3. Testing and Configuration:
The effectiveness of the improver depends on both the performance of the additive and the type of diesel oil used. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct testing to determine the best configuration and ensure optimal results before full-scale use.

Key Features of Diesel Oil Fluidity Improver:

  • Effective Pour Point Depression:
Helps reduce the pour point of diesel fuel, allowing it to flow more easily at low temperatures.

  • Prevents Blockages:
Reduces wax crystallization, preventing fuel lines and filters from clogging.

  • Cold Start Reliability:
Improves cold start performance of diesel engines by ensuring proper fuel flow even in sub-zero temperatures.

  • Compatibility with Diesel Fuels:
Suitable for use in a variety of diesel applications, including in vehicles, power generators, and other diesel-powered equipment.
